ICEHOTEL 34 Photo’s Revealed!

Attention to all art enthusiasts and explorers! Nestled in the village of Jukkasjarvi, 200km north of the Arctic Circle in Swedish Lapland, you’ll discover a one-of-a-kind hotel: the renowned and original ICEHOTEL.

Each year, a magical transformation occurs on the shores of the River Torne, where from December to April, guests are welcomed to explore a temporary art gallery meticulously carved entirely from ice and snow. Venture past the foyer and uncover the wonders of the 34th ICEHOTEL with Sunvil.

Presenting ICEHOTEL 34: Opened on December 15th, 2023, ICEHOTEL 34 was brought to life by 32 artists hailing from 14 different countries worldwide, including Sweden, Poland, Japan, Italy, Belgium, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, France, Singapore, Belgium, Slovakia, and the UK. Collaborating with the hotel’s construction team and Luca Roncoroni, Creative Director at ICEHOTEL, they crafted this ephemeral masterpiece.

The enchantment of ICEHOTEL 34 is the result of a six-week whirlwind of creativity and dedication. Approximately 500 tonnes of ice and 10 Olympic swimming pools of “snis” (a special ice and snow mix) were utilized in the creation of this ephemeral work of art. Comprising 15 art suites, a main hall, and a ceremony hall that forms the heart of the hotel, each building block, sourced from the nearby Torne River, will return to nature in the spring.

While ICEHOTEL 34 may melt away with the spring thaw, the artistic spirit endures in ICEHOTEL 365. This permanent structure offers year-round icy adventures, featuring luxurious art and deluxe suites, a chilling ice bar, and even a movie theatre carved from the frozen depths.

Reserve your stay now: Whether you’re an aficionado of art seeking inspiration, an adventurer yearning for a unique experience, or someone who simply appreciates the beauty of frozen wonder, ICEHOTEL 34 eagerly awaits your visit. Explore our website for more details and create memories that will endure a lifetime. Special offer rates are currently available.
