Northern Lights by Snowmobile with Dinner
This snowmobile excursion goes in search of the magical Northern Lights in the unspoiled wilderness surrounding the ICEHOTEL. Away from all artificial lights, your eyes will be drawn upwards towards the heavens and, should conditions permit, the colourful waves of Lady Aurora.
An evening meal is served in a wilderness camp during which your guide will tell you truths and tales about the celestial phenomenon.
You can pay a supplement to drive your own snowmobile.

Trap Line: Drive your own sled (Must do!)
The kennels of Bert Ove Johansson are located in Laxforsen 10km from Kiruna, and have been certified by the ‘Nature’s Best’ environmental award. After meeting your team of huskies at the kennels, you will depart for a tour of the surrounding Arctic wilderness. Watch the white landscape glide past from your seat or from the mushers/driver’s position – It is a truly wonderful experience. Light refreshments will be served in a wilderness hut whilst the guide tells stories about the huskies and the traditional way of light and survival techniques used in the area. It is possible to take a short snow shoe walk in the surroundings of the hut. Return to kennels by dog sled. One passenger is included to learn in the main cost). Children are required to sit in the guides sled.
You can pay a supplement to drive your own private sled. There is also the option to sit on the shared sled as a passenger.

Ice Sculpting
Test your creative skills in ice sculpting and create your own ice sculpture from pure Torne River ice – a must when you’re at Icehotel.
Take the opportunity to create your own ice sculpture out of the pristine natural ice — something many artists dream of. The class starts with the instructor talking about your block of crystal–clear ice, harvested from Torne River, followed by an introduction on how to use the tools and the basics of ice sculpting.

Private Overnight Snowmobile tour
An exciting snowmobile adventure through the untouched nature. Drive your snowmobile into the wilderness and spend the night in a rustic camp with sauna, dinner, and chances of seeing the northern lights.
If you are looking for an exciting experience in the wilderness, an overnight stay in a wilderness camp is perfect. You start with a snowmobile tour across Torne River, through the winter wonderland. You share a snowmobile, or drive your own, and eventually reach the wilderness lodge Luspen, situated on the riverbank of Torne River. Luspen is a pioneer camp with a sleeping cabin, food cabin, and sauna, plus basic facilities like an outhouse/dry toilet/bucket toilet.
There is no Wi-Fi or electricity here, perfect to unplug and relax. While the guide makes dinner you can enjoy the wood-fired sauna that is wholesome for body and mind. Sauna snacks are available between steam-sessions. After dinner, you can look for the northern lights and admire the magnificent starry sky if the weather is clear. In the cabin there is one sleeping room with a double bed (160 cm) and one bunkbed. The next morning you will be served breakfast and when you have finished and packed your things, you drive your snowmobile back to Icehotel and can marvel at the untouched nature around you during the ride. You will be back at 10 am.

The Ultimate Dog Sledding Overnight Adventure
Drive your own dog sled and sleep in a wilderness cabin. A fantastic winter adventure with dogs and a night in the wilderness. Take the opportunity to try the sauna and look for the northern lights.
On this top-of-the-range overnight excursion, you will drive your own team of huskies and have plenty of time to get to know the dogs and their personalities. The tour begins at the kennel with an introduction to equipment and safety. The dogs howl eagerly before the start but as soon as you lift the snow anchor the chorus goes silent and the focus is on the trail ahead.
Enjoy the tranquility and the sound of the dog’s paws against the snow while you are driving deeper into the woods. Eventually, you reach a cozy wilderness camp, secluded in the forest. Warm-up in the wood-fired sauna and nibble on the sauna snacks that work up your appetite.
You are served a delicious three-course dinner and hopefully, you will see the northern lights during the evening. You sleep in a shared double room with breakfast the next morning. After breakfast, you help to harness the dogs and drive your own dog sled back to the Husky Homestead again. The tour ends with a transfer back to Icehotel. You'll be back at 11 am in the morning.

Raidu – Encounter with the Reindeer
After a short transfer to a reindeer camp you will enjoy a presentation of Sámi culture by your local guide. You will also have the opportunity to feed the reindeer and to take a reindeer sled ride around a small track. Transfers as well as a traditional light lunch are included. One child is permitted per paying adult. This tour is certified by the Swedish Ecotourism Society as Nature’s Best. Pick up from the ICEHOTEL. The transfer to the Reindeer camp, by snowmobile pulled sled, takes approximately 15 minutes each way . Minimum of 2 participants.

Short Dog Sled Ride
…Into the Winter Wonderland.
On this short dog sled tour you will observe the sheer joy experienced by husky dogs as they prepare to run. You will also hear the fall of silence as the journey begins. Sit back on your sled as it is steered by your musher-guide and watch the snow-covered landscape pass by. Coffee and cake is served around a camp fire. Each sled carries a maximum of 6 passengers. Please note that you may be required to share a sled with other guests. Each sled is pulled by 8-14 dogs. Approximately 1 hour is spent on the sled. The duration spent onboard the sled will be determined by weather conditions on the day. The suggested minimum age for a dog-sled passenger is 13 years old. One child is permitted per paying adult.

Wildlife & Nature Photography Tour
As the day breaks, you will be led in to the Arctic wilderness by your local guide to shoot panoramas and, hopefully, wildlife. You will visit known bird feeding spots and will track the footprints of reindeer, moose, ptarmigan and fox in the hope of capturing these magnificent animals on camera.
A hot drink is included. Memory cards are not included. Don’t forget to bring a personal SD-card with minimum 8 GB memory.
Minimum age: 10 Minimum of 2 people required. The start time for this tour is between 8.30 and 9am depending on the time of year

Sauna Ritual
In Swedish Lapland, the sauna is the heart of the home, a place for peacefulness, relaxation and meditation. Gain the skills to sauna like a Scandinavian at ”Kallebastun”, Jukkasjarvi’s Culture Sauna, the cradle of the Swedish Sauna Academy. You will be taught the ten-step sauna ritual, during the winter months the culmination of which is an ice plunge in the river. Light snacks and spa products are included. A robe and slippers is provided for use during the ritual. Exclusive access to the sauna Please note that you will not spend the whole three hours in the sauna, the Scandinavian way is to spend short periods in the heat of the sauna, interspersed by cooling down by the fire in the lounge or in the shower, having snacks and just relaxing. There is also an option to book only the modern electric sauna. This activity is not recommended for guests with a heart condition or pregnant women.

Moose Safari on Horseback
On the back of an Icelandic horse, you will explore the winter grazing land of the King of the Lappish forest – the moose. Accompanying you on your tour is the mountainous backdrop of the Abisko National Park and the peaks of Kebnekaise, Sweden’s highest mountain.
Transfers and a traditional lunch at a local farm are included. This tour is certified by the Swedish Ecotourism Society as Nature’s Best.
No horse-riding experience is required but, participants must be reasonably fit and weigh a maximum of 90kg (14.17 stone). The minimum age to ride an Icelandic Horse is 12 years old.

Private Husky Airport Transfer
Travel in style from Kiruna airport to the Ice Hotel (or vice versa) on your private Husky sled transfer. Be whisked off for this thrilling ride through the Lapland countryside. This is on a private basis and so the price is the same from 1-4 passengers.

Wilderness Dinner – Northern Lights & Stargazing
This tour will take you to a wilderness camp in the forests surrounding Jukkasjarvi. A pre-dinner drink is included. A three course evening meal is serviced in a log cabin. there is free time during the evening to relax reindeer skins whilst enjoying the sky above. Pick-up from the ICEHOTEL. The transfer to the wilderness camp will take approximately 15 minutes each way, the route of which is determined by the weather conditions and chances for an aurora sighting. If the Aurora is not seen on the outbound transfer, or whilst at the wilderness camp, the tour may be extended slightly, depending on weather conditions, to search for the Aurora on the return to the ICEHOTEL. The minimum suggested age is 7 years old. Minimum of 2 participants required.
