ICEHOTEL Essentials Plus

This package takes our budget conscious package PLUS two of the most popular winter activities; the short husky ride and the Northern Lights by shared snowmobile excursions. This perfect for those looking to stay at Sweden’s famous ICEHOTEL but are keen to keep the price as low as possible but also partake in two activities.

We have pieced together the perfect short break holiday package to the ICEHOTEL with 1 night in an Ice room and 2 nights in warm accommodation on site at the ICEHOTEL.

Day 1
Depart from London (Heathrow or Gatwick depending on which offers the best value and most convenient times for you, Manchester flights may be available at a supplement), via Stockholm and arrive into Kiruna, the nearest airport to the ICEHOTEL.  Transfer to the ICEHOTEL by shared vehicle (approx 15 minutes) where you will be given your thermal clothing and boots to keep throughout your stay, and a guided tour.  Later you will no doubt wish to enjoy a drink in the Ice Bar before you retire for the night in your Ice Room (or upgrade to the Art Suite at the Ice Hotel, please ask for details when you book).

Day 2
You will be woken with hot lingonberry juice, and have the option of a sauna before breakfast.

This morning or this afternoon you will join the short husky ride (approx 1.5hr) excursion. On this tour you will observe the sheer joy experienced by husky dogs as they prepare to run. You will also hear the fall of silence as the journey begins. Sit back on your sled as it is steered by your musher-guide and watch the snow-covered landscape pass by. Coffee and cake is served around a camp fire.

Day 3
Today is at leisure (consider pre booking an additional activity) before one of the highlights of the trip; the Northern Lights by shared snowmobile excursion with 2-course traditional dinner.

This snowmobile excursion goes in search of the magical Northern Lights in the unspoiled wilderness surrounding the ICEHOTEL. Away from all artificial lights, your eyes will be drawn upwards towards the heavens and, should conditions permit, the colourful waves of Lady Aurora.

An evening meal is served in a wilderness camp during which your guide will tell you truths and tales about the celestial phenomenon.

Day 4
After breakfast ithere’s some free time depending on your flight arrangements before your transfer to Kiruna airport for your flight via Stockholm back to London.
